Our Commitment to Privacy

At ScoreItQuickly, we are committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy policy explains how our app handles your information — both for its core scoring features, which work entirely on your device, and for its one optional feature that talks to anything else: casting the scoreboard to a television or other screen.

Core App: Information We Do NOT Collect

For scorekeeping, ScoreItQuickly does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. Specifically, we do not collect:

• Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
• Location data
• Usage analytics
• Crash reports containing personal data
• Any other personally identifiable information

How the Core App Works

Adding players, tracking scores, and everything else about keeping score happens entirely on your device:

• Local Storage: Your games, players, and scores are stored locally on your device
• No Account Required: The app does not require registration or account creation
• No Data Transmission: Your game data never leaves your device, unless you choose to cast it — see below

Optional: Casting to a Screen

ScoreItQuickly can show the scoreboard on a television or spare screen so everyone at the table can see it. This is entirely optional — it only happens when you choose to cast, and nothing below applies if you never use it.

• Finding a screen: The app uses your device's local network access to look for nearby displays, and, if you cast to a Chromecast, uses Google's Cast SDK to find and connect to it. This requires permission to access devices on your local network, which iOS will ask you for.
• What gets sent: While you're casting, the player names and scores currently on screen are sent to Bezel (bezel.show), a third-party service, so it can display them on the screen you chose.
• Install identifier: To tell your screens apart from anyone else's, the app generates a random identifier for your installation the first time you cast. It is not derived from your name, device, or any other personal information, is stored securely in your device's Keychain, and does not sync across your devices.
• Third-party services: Bezel and Google Cast are operated by other companies, and any data they receive is handled under their own privacy practices, not this one.

Data Security

Your game data is protected by your device's built-in security features. Casting is opt-in, so the only data that ever leaves your device is what you actively choose to show on a screen — and only for as long as you're casting.

Children's Privacy

ScoreItQuickly is safe for users of all ages. We recommend using first names or initials for players when casting, since anything shown on screen is visible to whoever's looking at it.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date above.

App Store Privacy Labels

Apple's App Store Privacy Nutrition Label for ScoreItQuickly reflects the practices described above, including the data sent to Bezel and Google Cast when you use casting. Check the app's App Store listing for the current label.

This privacy policy is effective as of the date listed above and applies to all users of the ScoreItQuickly app.
